Pyrenth is run by Pyrenth LLC. When a clinic or practice signs up for Pyrenth, the practice is the covered entity under HIPAA and Pyrenth LLC is the business associate. Every customer practice signs a Business Associate Agreement with Pyrenth LLC before any real patient data is moved into the system.

What we hold for the practice

Pyrenth holds the patient records the practice creates: names and dates of birth, the clinical notes, the insurance details, and the billing records. Substance use disorder records get the extra protection 42 CFR Part 2 requires, and the consent check that controls who can see those records is enforced in code, not on a checklist. The data lives in the United States. It is encrypted on disk and in transit using FIPS 140 validated cryptography.

This public marketing page

This page does not collect anything about you. There are no third party analytics, no advertising trackers, and no session recording on the public pyrenth.app pages. The signed in application is different: it writes an audit log entry every time a clinician opens a patient chart. That audit log belongs to the practice and is produced for them on request, including any legal request.

When Pyrenth shares data

Pyrenth only shares patient data when the Business Associate Agreement allows it, or when the law requires it. Pyrenth does not sell, rent, or share patient data for marketing. Any subcontractor that touches patient data signs its own Business Associate Agreement with Pyrenth before it gets access.

Text messages (SMS)

Pyrenth and the agencies and practices that use Pyrenth send text messages only to people who ask for them. You opt in by submitting a web form with your phone number and an explicit consent checkbox, or by giving written consent in person, and consent to texts is never a condition of any purchase. The messages are about what you requested, for example insurance quote and policy follow-up, appointment reminders, account and service notices, and replies to questions you send us.

We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your SMS consent with any third party or affiliate for their own marketing. Mobile information is not shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, and reply HELP for help.
